From forecasting storms to mapping out wellness, I’ve shifted from weather charts to fitness plans. I studied through ISSA to become a personal trainer, earned a Master’s degree in Nutrition with a functional medicine emphasis from the University of Bridgeport—graduating with a 4.0 GPA—and went on to obtain the Certified Nutrition Specialist® (CNS®) credential, which reflects advanced training in personalized nutrition.
After my graduate studies, I had the honor of working at a nutrition clinic where I gained hands-on experience supporting patients under the supervision of one of our program’s most respected professors. As part of this supervised practice, I interpreted a range of functional lab tests—including gut health panels, metabolic profiles, and genetic assessments—and applied medical nutrition therapy strategies in a clinical setting. This experience deepened my understanding of evidence-based, personalized nutrition and the powerful role it can play in supporting complex health conditions.
My passion was born from my own transformation. Years ago, I achieved national qualification as a bodybuilding competitor, but the intense demands of that journey took a toll on my health. That experience opened my eyes to the profound impact food, movement, and lifestyle can have on wellness—and I’ve never looked back. Now, I’m grateful for the opportunity to empower others on their health journey, using evidence-informed approaches rooted in science.
Founding NuTriDay® represents my vision to share a holistic approach that brings together what I call the TRIfecta—nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle. My vision is to empower others to feel more energized, focused, and resilient by offering P.R.E.C.I.S.E. wellness plans that are:
I also bring these principles into workplace wellness programming, helping organizations support healthier, more productive teams.
I earned my first Master’s Degree in Meteorology from Florida State University, where my graduate research focused on improving hurricane track forecasting. I was honored to have my work published here, to present my findings at the American Meteorological Society, and to feature those findings on-air during hurricane coverage at multiple television stations in Houston.
I’ve worked as a meteorologist and reporter in Tallahassee, FL, Springfield, MO, and Houston, TX. Most recently, I partnered with CW39 Houston as a meteorologist and produced their “Fitness Friday” and “Wellness Wednesday” TV segments, which brought practical wellness insights to a broader audience.
I’ve also been active in my community—serving as a spokesperson for a local “No Text and Drive” campaign, emceeing dozens of station-sponsored events, and leading a women’s “Faith & Fitness” church group. Since transitioning out of broadcast full time, I’ve been invited to speak at the Texas State Science Fair and at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston on several occasions.
